Luis Palma axed, Cameron Carter-Vickers starts in 4-3-3: Celtic predicted XI v Ross County

Celtic will look to maintain their unbeaten start in the league when they face 10th-place Ross County in Dingwall on Saturday (4 November).

After a late Oh Hyeon-Gyu goal secured Brendan Rodgers’ side three points in a 2-1 win against St Mirren on Wednesday (1 November), Football Insider has predicted the Hoops starting line-up to take on the Staggies.

Defence

Joe Hart is a strong possibility to start in between the sticks with Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales ahead of him at centre-back.

Carter-Vickers was replaced by Liverpool loanee Nat Phillips against St Mirren in a planned break for the 25-year-old, but he may be reintroduced into the starting XI at Victoria Park.

At full-back, Rodgers may opt to stick with Greg Taylor and Alistair Johnston at left-back and right-back respectively after their impressive performances against the Saints.

Midfield

Rodgers may select an unchanged midfield against Ross County.

David Turnbull impressed after returning to the starting line-up on Wednesday by getting the Hoops’ equalising goal in the first half.

Meanwhile, midfield mainstays Callum McGregor and Matt O’Riley may have done enough to stay on the teamsheet.

Attack

Up top and Rodgers could look to make some significant changes.

Despite a poor display last time out, Kyogo Furuhashi has been very prolific in the league with five goals and two assists and the manager may not risk dropping him.

Daizen Maeda entered the fray early in the first half at Celtic Park against St Mirren and made a bigger impact than Luis Palma, 23, meaning Rodgers could partner him with Yang Hyun-Jun on the opposite flank.

In other news, Reo Hatate is set to stay at Celtic after a big development.
