Sources: Chelsea now turn attention to manager Tottenham want to replace Antonio Conte
Chelsea have a genuine interest in Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi and he would be keen to replace Graham Potter, sources have told Football Insider.
The Blues hierarchy are eyeing De Zerbi as one of the potential contenders in case they change their manager.
The Italian, 43, is regarded as a top-level manager by Chelsea given the instant success he has had in the Premier League with Brighton and his successful track record of working with young players.
Potter has come under increased scrutiny in recent weeks due to his side’s wretched results and inability to score goals.
Although the official Chelsea line is that the board are sticking by their manager, talks are ongoing behind the scenes about when a potential change could be made.
Sources have said that the next two matches will be crucial in deciding Potter’s fate.
The London club have won just one of their last seven games and are tenth in the Premier League table.
The current Brighton boss is viewed as an exciting young manager who plays eye-catching, front=foot football and is a possibility to replace Potter should Chelsea opt to dismiss him.

The Italian’s future is up in the air at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium with his contract expiring in the summer and no agreement on an extension.
