Sources: Brighton agree deal with Norwich City talent spotter Danny Hoyle

Norwich City talent spotter Danny Hoyle is set join Brighton in a recruitment role, sources have told Football Insider.

Hoyle, son of Huddersfield Town owner Dean Hoyle, has agreed a deal with the Premier League club.

At Norwich he has been head of emerging talent, tasked with sourcing the next generation of stars.

The Canaries are currently ninth in the Championship table with 49 points from 33 games and have won two of their last five matches.

Since the summer window, Norwich have welcomed numerous additions including Marquinhos from Arsenal on loan, as well as Isaac Hayden from Newcastle United, also on loan.

Gabriel Sara from Sao Paolo and Marcelino Nunez from CD Universidad Catolica, who play in Chile’s top division, joined on permanent deals.

The side have also lost players like Todd Cantwell, who joined Rangers last month, and Rocky Bushiri who also made the move to Scotland, joining Hibernian.

Potential new club Brighton are currently seventh in the English top flight, just three points behind Fulham who have played two extra games.

Despite losing manager Graham Potter at the start of the season, the Seagulls have been thriving under new boss Roberto De Zerbi.

The club have made several signings since the summer including Pervis Estupinan who signed from Villarreal.

But, De Zerbi’s side have also lost some big players.

Most recently, Leandro Trossard who joined Arsenal last month.

Marc Cucurella left for Man City in the summer, Yves Bissouma also joined Premier League rivals Tottenham and Neal Maupay left for Everton.

In other news, according to sources, Tottenham ‘hugely impressed’ by Roberto De Zerbi as manager search takes twist.
