Sources: West Ham submit bid for Ernest Nuamah as they look to beat Tottenham to deal

West Ham have submitted an offer for FC Nordsjaelland star Ernest Nuamah, sources have told Football Insider.

The Hammers are in the market for more attacking reinforcements and have made a formal move the 19-year-old winger after shortlisting him as a top target.

The exciting youngster has attracted plenty of Premier League attention, with Burnley also understood to have submitted a concrete offer while Tottenham and Brighton are also very keen admirers.

Nuamah’s performances in Denmark’s top division earned rave reviews this season and he is widely regarded as one of the most exciting talents in Europe.

Just four games into the 2023/24 campaign, Nuamah has already scored four times and assisted once including an opening-day hat-trick in a 4-1 win over Viborg.

David Moyes has been looking to add more creativity and goals to his side this summer, with Lucas Paqueta still potentially headed for the exit door at the London Stadium to join Man City.

The Irons are in advanced talks with Ajax over Mohammed Kudus, and Football Insider revealed on Sunday (20 August) that West Ham are looking to finalise the deal after late-night talks with the Dutch club.

Nuamah enjoyed a breakthrough season at Nordsjaelland in 2022/23, scoring 15 goals and assisting four times in 34 appearances across all competitions while also showing his versatility up front.

While mainly deployed on the right wing, Nuamah also enjoyed successful spells playing on the left and through the middle for the Danish club.
