'Rat', 'Like a thief in the night' - Leeds fans disgusted by Max Wober after confirmed news
Leeds United fans were disgusted with Max Wober’s recent comments on the club’s Championship success.
The Austrian departed Elland Road this summer for German side Borussia Monchengladbach on a season-long loan, but hailed his parent side for “doing very well” and playing “really cool football”.
Wober had a relegation release clause in his Leeds contract which he opted to trigger to jump ship from the English second division to the German top flight.
He spent just half a season in Yorkshire after his permanent switch from RB Salzburg and made 16 Premier League appearances for Leeds after his move.
His flattery of the Whites has not gone down well with the fanbase who have taken to social media to make it clear he is not welcome back at Elland Road.
This fan slammed Wober as a “thief in the night” for departing the club at the first opportunity.
One fan mocked Wober but suggested he could do a job for the club – in the youth side.
This supporter is eager to see Wober stay away from the club after the positive atmosphere Daniel Farke has subsequently created after his exit.
One fan claimed that he was trying to get back into Leeds’ good books after their new-found success.
This supporter has little time for Wober and wants to “get rid” of him after he betrayed Farke by leaving Leeds.
Another supporter predicted that should he and other loanees return, fans would criticise supporters who booed these “rats”.
One fan has very quickly moved on from Wober after Joe Rodon’s excellent start to life at Leeds.
This fan is hopeful that the club can get Wober out of the club this summer when he returns from Germany after his £11million move.
This fan claims that Wober was attempting to come “back out of the sewer” after the Whites’ promotion-level form.
