Sources: Tottenham plotting to sign Wilfried Zaha after multiple offers submitted

Tottenham are interested in signing Wilfried Zaha on a summer free, sources have told Football Insider.

The Crystal Palace star, 30, is out of contract at the end of the season and has rejected multiple offers to extend it.

That has opened the door for Premier League clubs to sign him as a free agent next summer in what is expected to be a major battle for his signature.

It is believed that Tottenham are keen on Zaha and are keeping tabs on his situation.

Zaha is not expected to leave Palace in January and will instead likely move on at the end of the season.

Former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is a huge admirer of Zaha and twice tried to sign him from Palace during his reign.

But the Londoners could not meet the asking price of their capital rivals on both occasions and talks collapsed.

Arsenal have also been strongly linked with Zaha and could be in the race again next summer.

“I think he’s a terrific player and I think the impact he’s had in the Premier League in the last few years has been phenomenal,” Mikel Arteta said in January 2020.

Zaha has notched six goals and two assists in 13 Premier League games for Palace this season, as the Selhurst Park club sit 11th in the top flight.

The winger, who came through the Eagles ranks, has already endured an ill-fated spell at giants Man United between 2014 and 2015 after joining the Old Trafford club for a reported £15million.

He made just one appearance for the Red Devils before returning to his boyhood club on a permanent basis.

Ivory Coast international Zaha and Palace return to action post-World Cup with a home clash against Fulham on 26 December.
