Tottenham told to pull off 'huge' Wilfried Zaha transfer after talks reveal

Tottenham should sign Wilfried Zaha on a free transfer as an upgrade on Lucas Moura.

That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Zaha, 30 is out of contract at the end of the current season and is free to speak to foreign clubs from January.

The Ivory Coast international has started 12 of his side’s 14 Premier League games this season, scoring twice and providing three assists for his teammates.

On 2 November, the Evening Standard reported Zaha is yet to accept Palace’s latest contract offer.

Wenham wants Tottenham to sign Zaha as an upgrade to Moura, whose own future is in doubt.

“There are lots of players who will be on a free that I would take,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I saw a whole list. Wilf Zaha, 100%. Move for him. With us being an English club we couldn’t actually speak to him until his contract officially runs out, which would be 1 July.

“So maybe foreign clubs would have an advantage there but I don’t know how much interest there is in him.

“He seems to always be linked with a move every window but nothing ever happens, now might be the right time as his contract runs down.

“There is talk about us losing Lucas Moura. If he leaves and you can secure a huge upgrade at the same time, there’s your man, get Zaha.”

Zaha, 29, made 33 appearances in the 2021-22 Premier League and scored 14 goals.

Moura, meanwhile scored two goals in 34 league appearances during the same season.
