Sean Dyche: Everton want to sign forward duo in January - sources

Everton boss Sean Dyche wants to bring two new wingers to the club in January, sources have told Football Insider.

Dyche is keen to build on the Toffees’ recent form and stave off the threat of relegation following their 10-point deduction.

Transfer negotiations are on hold while talks are ongoing over a takeover from 777 Partners, but Dyche has nonetheless instructed his recruitment staff to scour the market for potential winger signings.

The Everton boss moved to add Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Harrison on low-cost loan deals in the summer window but wants more arrivals in attack.

He is keen to bring more creativity and goal output to provide ammunition for top scorer Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

It is believed the Toffees are searching for new options in the wide areas as the new year approaches.

Dyche is believed to be impressed with Harrison’s impact since his summer arrival from Leeds.

The 26-year-old has made nine appearances across all competitions this term, notching one goal and three assists.

Dwight McNeil and Danjuma have had a more limited impact on the left-hand side.

The 777 Partners takeover remains pending as the Premier League, Football Association and Financial Conduct Authority ratify the Miami-based buyout.

In the meantime, Everton have been handed an immediate 10-point deduction after breaching Financial Fair Play rules – the biggest punishment in Premier League history.

An independent commission found that Everton’s losses during that period amounted to £124.5million – more than the permitted £105million over three years.

The Toffees now sit 19th in the table and are two points from safety.
