'Wow', 'Treble winners faking injury' - Liverpool fans react to Erling Haaland injury update ahead of Man City showdown
Liverpool fans have slammed Erling Haaland as a “disgrace” for being available for Man City despite withdrawing from international duty through injury.
The big Nord jetted back home after playing in Norway’s 1-0 loss to Spain but their failure to qualify for Euro 2024 was already sealed before their subsequent 3-3 draw to Scotland without Haaland on Sunday (19 November).
It was reported that Haaland, despite his injury, will be available for Pep Guardiola for the weekend showdown against Liverpool – a battle between first and second in the Premier League table.
The 23-year-old has continued his record-breaking form from last season and has bagged himself 17 goals in 18 appearances in all competitions, so his availability could cause the Reds one or two problems.
However, many Liverpool supporters feel there is something else afoot and have taken to social media to react to the news.
