Pep Guardiola may quit Man City as two 'massive' offers reported - pundit

Kevin Campbell has claimed potential offers from Brazil or Spain “could get the juices flowing” for Man City boss Pep Guardiola as he looks for the next step.

The former Arsenal striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested an offer in international management could be the only “next step” for the 51-year-old.

According to Spanish outlet Sport (11 December), the Brazillian FA are preparing to offer Guardiola the manager’s job following Tite’s departure.

Spain’s Luis Enrique also left his post following their last-16 defeat against Morocco – and has been initially replaced by Under-21 boss Luis de la Fuente.

It has been claimed that Man City boss Guardiola previously threw his hat into the ring for the Brazil job back in 2012.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager, who has won four Premier League titles at the Etihad Stadium, signed a contract extension until 2025 just last month.

Campbell told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “Wow, that could get the juices flowing for Guardiola.

“Spain are without a real manager option as well. If both of those countries offer him a job, I think that’s the only way he leaves Man City.

“I see the next step for Guardiola being a national team.

“To be fair, they are two very talented sides. Brazil were stacked going into this World Cup, and they massively underperformed.

“If both of those massive offers came up, he would have a really hard choice to make.”
