'Get him back ASAP', 'Please, he's my favourite player' - Rangers fans wowed by Ianis Hagi latest

Rangers fans are keen to see Ianis Hagi make an Ibrox return “ASAP” after his international excellence with Romania.

The 25-year-old grabbed the game-winning goal in his nation’s 2-1 win over Israel on Saturday (18 November) to cement them at the top of Group I of Euro 2024 qualification.

He departed Glasgow this summer on a season-long loan move to La Liga side Alaves where he has netted a Copa del Rey brace and an assist against Atletico Madrid.

While the Gers’ fortunes have changed drastically since Philippe Clement replaced Michael Beale last month, many fans remain frustrated with the output of much of the squad – particularly the summer signings.

In light of this, supporters are eager to see him return to the club and have taken to social media to speculate on what the former Ibrox star could do under the Belgian.

One fan wants Sam Lammers, who plays a similar position to Hagi, to be binned off in favour of the loanee.

This supporter claims Hagi would be an instant upgrade on the likes of Cyriel Dessers and Lammers.

This fan feels it is foolish to judge players based on their form under Beale and Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

This fan simply wants Hagi back in Glasgow as soon as possible.

Another supporter is keen to see what Clement can do with Hagi considering his relative success with the previously underperforming summer additions.

One Gers fan doesn’t trust his club to make the right decision with the attacking midfielder but insisted it would be a “smart” move to get him back.

This fan slammed Beale’s decision to ship Hagi out on loan but is eyeing up a decent fee after his improved performances away from Scotland.

One fan has excused Hagi considering the “car-crash” summer at Ibrox and believes he deserves another shot at Rangers.

One fan has pleaded with the club to bring his “favourite player” back and insists his future may lie in Glasgow.
