'Appalling scenes' - Aston Villa fans 'disgusted' as latest footage emerges

Aston Villa fans were disgusted with Legia Warsaw supporters after the pre-match chaos of their Europa Conference League clash on Thursday (30 November).

Fans of the Polish outfit were denied entry to Villa Park as advised by West Midlands Police due to safety concerns, but an hour before kick-off Legia supporters engaged in a planned attack.

Missiles were launched and 39 arrests were made as a result of the carnage while four police officers suffered injuries.

Villa had notified Warsaw on 2 November that their ticket allocation had been slashed to 1002 due to safety concerns following Legia fans’ large-scale disorder at AZ Alkmaar.

While Villa secured a 2-1 win courtesy of Moussa Diaby and Alex Moreno, fans have taken to social media with fury over the “mindless” actions of the travelling supporters.

This fan was baffled that some Legia supporters complained about not getting access to Villa Park despite not even having a ticket.

One fan slammed the Legia support as unintelligent “hooligans”.

One fan was adamant that the away fans were not thinking at all.

One fan fumed that the “absolutely rotten” Legia were attempting to blame the Villans for the incident.

One fan had never seen such a “stupid” bunch of fans and questioned what they’d even achieved.

This fan felt sympathy for the non-violent travelling fans who were let down but the “disgusting” contingent.

This fan blasted Legia’s response to the violence as they failed to take any responsibility.

This fan called for the “appalling” Legia supporters to see a lifetime ban from all football grounds.
