Kane's woeful pass completion due to 'turmoil' behind the scenes at Tottenham - Robinson

Harry Kane is “frustrated” at Tottenham and “feels let down by others around him”.

That is the view of former White Hart Lane number one Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the 28-year-old’s dismal start to the Premier League campaign.

Kane failed to score for the sixth successive league game on Sunday as Spurs lost 3-1 to their north London rivals Arsenal at the Emirates.

According to Whoscored, the England captain only completed 45.5 per cent of his passes in the match – the worst of any player on both sides.

Robinson fears Kane is looking over his shoulder at how Manchester City are playing.

“I think it will take him a while to get back to his best,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“It is clearly difficult for him after everything that happened in the summer. He must be looking across London at what Man City did to Chelsea and thinking, ‘I should be a part of that. I should be playing with [Jack] Grealish, [Gabriel] Jesus and [Riyad] Mahrez.’

“He could be challenging at the top end of the table but instead he is playing in a Spurs side that is in turmoil behind the scenes.

“In the Arsenal game he was getting deeper and deeper to try and get on the ball. He just looked frustrated. He cut a very frustrated figure in that game.

“I know he is not the type of player who will down tools. That is not the type of person he is.

“I think he is frustrated and feels let down by others around him at the moment.”
