'It's the Klopp intimidation tactics' - Fans can't believe Liverpool star wasn't sent off by VAR as footage emerges from 3-0 win over Brentford

Fans on social media believe Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo should have been sent off during the 3-0 win over Brentford on Sunday afternoon.

Liverpool drew level with Arsenal and Manchester City in the Premier League title race on Sunday after picking up all three points at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah scored either side of half time and Diogo Jota added a third with 15 minutes remaining to secure Liverpool’s eighth win of the season.

It was a fairly comfortable afternoon for Jurgen Klopp’s side, but fans believe the Merseyside club were lucky to finish the match with all 11 players on the pitch after Endo’s challenge on Christian Norgaard.

The 30-year-old Japanese international, who joined Liverpool for £16.2million this summer, went to ground and connected with Norgaard’s knee.

The tackle was reviewed by VAR after Paul Tierney let play continue, but Endo escaped any punishment.

However, rival fans on X – formerly known as Twitter – seemed to disagree with the video referees.

This fan couldn’t believe that Endo’s challenge avoided a red card after Cristian Romero’s sending off last week.

Others accused Liverpool of receiving favourable decisions because they complained about Luis Diaz’ disallowed goal against Spurs…

This fan believes Anfield may have had a part to play in the decision…

This Liverpool fan went as far as calling Endo a ‘liability’ after his challenge.
