Pundit shreds 'mad' Todd Boehly amid 'nightmare' Julian Nagelsmann to Chelsea claim

Julian Nagelsmann should avoid joining Chelsea so he doesn’t have to work under ‘mad’ Todd Boehly.

That is the view of former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about the battle between Chelsea and Spurs for the former Bayern Munich boss this summer.

The 35-year-old coach is currently looking for new opportunities after being sacked by the Bundesliga giants last month.

Football Insider sources revealed on 3 April that Chelsea have made contact with Julian Nagelsmann about their mangerial vacancy.

But the Blues are set to be tested by London rivals Spurs for his signature, with this site’s sources revealing that Tottenham have cemented Nagelsmann as their top managerial candidate and are happy to wait until the summer to appoint him.

McManus believes Tottenham are the more ‘stable’ club to join this summer, but admits Chelsea can offer more money in the transfer market.

“I think Tottenham would be a better job for Nagelsmann,” McManus told Football Insider’s Sean Fisher.

“The Chelsea owner is mad – he’s worse than Abramovich in terms of running the club.

“I think Tottenham would be far more stable for Nagelsmann, but he would get more money to spend at Chelsea.

“But dealing with Chelsea’s squad and the amount of players there will be a manager’s nightmare.

“I think he’s a great manager and both clubs will be all-in for him in the summer, and he can consider himself harshly treated at Bayern Munich.”
