Pundit makes Man United new signing claim after 'what I've seen from Erik ten Hag'

Erik ten Hag should be backed by Man United to bring in more players that suit his style of play this summer.

That is the view of former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about Ten Hag’s transfer success at Old Trafford.

Since his arrival in the summer, Ten Hag has spent big at Man United on the likes of Antony, Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez.

All three stars have become regular starters for the Red Devils and have helped the side to win the Carabao Cup as well as compete in the FA Cup, Europa League and fight for top four in the Premier League.

A new striker and centre-back seem to be on the agenda for United this summer, with Ten Hag looking to implement his playing style more and more in Manchester.

Football Insider sources revealed last month (17 March) that United are preparing a £143million swoop for Napoli duo Victor Osimhen and Kim Min-Jae this summer.

McManus believes Ten Hag has already added some ‘crucial’ signings at Old Trafford and deserves the chance to add to his squad in the summer.

I think the manager, Ten Hag, has inherited a lot of players at Man United,” McManus told Football Insider.

But what I’ve seen already in the transfer windows since his arrival is that he knows what kind of players he wants.

“I think he’ll want a lot more of his own players coming in over the summer.

Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro stand out as the best examples for me, both are already crucial to Man United and have become the number one choices in their position.

“I think both Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire have to leave, and then Ten Hag can complete his rebuild, especially in defence.”
