Revealed: Arsenal to land £60m jackpot after agreement secured

The value of the shirt sponsorship deal between Arsenal and Emirates could rise to over £60million per season, Football Insider understands.

The Gunners extended their partnership with the Dubai-based airline this summer to continue the relationship that began with their first agreement in 2006.

The new deal will run until 2028 and will see Emirates remain as the front-of-shirt sponsor at the North London club.

Football Insider revealed on August 1 that the value of Arsenal’s Emirates deal was £50million per season.

The previous agreement between the two parties was worth £40million per season, while the new arrangement sees Arsenal draw level with Liverpool’s Standard Chartered deal.

However, Football Insider understands that clauses in the Emirates deal related to on-pitch success could increase the value of the sponsorship agreement to over £60million per season.

Arsenal came close to winning the Premier League in 2022/23 and secured their return to the Champions League for the first time since the 2016/17 season.

Should Arsenal trigger the clauses this season, it would leave them with the second most lucrative front-of-shirt deal behind Man City – who earn roughly £68million per year from their Etihad Airways deal.

On top of the shirt sponsorship deal, Emirates also continue to pay Arsenal for the naming rights to their stadium and campus separately.

The Gunners posted commercial revenues of £141.7million in their latest 2021/22 financial accounts, but the improved Emirates deal alongside a number of other off-pitch agreements signed this summer means that figure is expected to grow significantly.
