Sources: Notts County, Wycombe Wanderers and Peterborough in race to sign ex-Leicester City star Jellis

Wycombe, Peterborough and Notts County are monitoring National League sensation Jamie Jellis, sources have told Football Insider.

Former Leicester City trainee Jellis has been earning rave reviews for Tamworth in the National League this season and scouts from EFL clubs have been making regular checks on the 22-year-old.

League One pair Wycombe and Peterborough and League Two hopefuls Notts County are among several clubs plotting moves for the box-to-box midfielder.

It is believed all three sides are ready to offer the former Stevenage man a return to the EFL.

Jellis has made 17 appearances in the National League North for Tamworth this season, scoring once.

He joined the Staffordshire club permanently in August following two successful loan spells with The Lambs in the 2022-23 campaign.

The midfielder signed a professional contract with Stevenage in January 2020 but did not make a senior appearance for the club.

He was loaned out to non-league clubs on several occasions during his time at the Lamex Stadium, including spells at Aylesbury, Hitchin Town and Wingate.

Jellis has helped Tamworth to top spot in the National League North despite the non-league club only being promoted from the seventh tier last term.

Meanwhile, Notts County sit third in League Two following their promotion from the National League last term.

Matt Bloomfield’s Wycombe are 12th in the third tier, while Peterborough are occupying a play-off spot following their season-ending heartbreak against Sheffield Wednesday last season.
