Sources: Tottenham set sights on signing three attackers ahead of January

Juventus forward Samuel Iling-Junior is one of three options Tottenham are weighing up ahead of the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Friday (17 November) that Iling-Junior, 20, is a top target for Spurs as they explore a move for a new attacker.

Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic remain on the treatment table following knee injuries – leaving Tottenham short in key forward areas.

Richarlison is also on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on a long-standing groin injury.

Those injury problems will mean an increased reliance on Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski between now and the January transfer window.

Tottenham’s attacking output has also been affected by a serious injury to attacking midfield star Maddison – who is expected to be out until the new year.

Ange Postecoglou’s side will now set to take to the January transfer window to improve their options.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that club chiefs see Iling-Junior, 20, as a forward with “huge potential”.

The England Under-21 international has made four appearances in Serie A this term, notching one assist – and has turned out 22 times in total for Juventus.

Iling-Junior is under contract in Turin until June 2025 after penning his last contract extension in December 2022 and is just one of three options under consideration at Tottenham.

Recent injuries have hit Spurs hard and they have lost their last two games against Chelsea and Wolves.

Postecoglou’s side, who sit fourth in the Premier League, are next in action against Aston Villa on 26 November.

In other news, 29-year-old “seriously interested” in quitting Tottenham.
