Arsenal will be 'worried' by 'big' Man City dressing room reveal - pundit

Paul Robinson has claimed Arsenal should now be “worried” about Man City.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and England number one is adamant Pep Guardiola’s side turned a corner last week.

Man City have recorded back to back wins since losing to Man United on 14 January.

According to The Athletic (22 January), City players took turns to air grievances and give their views on where things were going wrong after the 2-1 defeat to their neighbours.

The mood in the dressing room is said to have changed following the conversations.

When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the title race, Robinson said: “We saw a reaction from half-time in the Spurs game.

“I think that was a big turning point in their season.

“They had struggled up to then. They have not been in top gear. Yes, they are in and around the top two but they are not playing as well as we know they can.

“From an Arsenal point of view, I would be worried that City are now going to go on a run. The Spurs game might be the catalyst. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall at half-time in that game. Since half-time in that game they have been playing care-free.

“They beat a decent Wolves side at the weekend. I know they are at the wrong end of the table but they have had a change in form under the new manager. City brushed them aside.

“We will learn a lot over the next few weeks. There is some big games coming up.”
