Tottenham could accept 'huge' Harry Kane offer after source's transfer update - expert
Harry Kane would still be worth “a huge fee” in the summer even if he does not sign a new contract at Tottenham.
That is the view of former White Hart Lane number one Paul Robinson, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the the 29-year-old’s contract situation in north London.
Kane has entered the final 18 months of his current deal.
Sources have told Football Insider (7 January) that the striker has no intention of leaving this month but his future remains up in the air.
Bayern Munich are one of the clubs interested in signing the England captain.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of the latest, Robinson said: “Kane would be worth a huge fee even if he only had 12 months left on his contract.
“He has answered a lot of questions since the World Cup. There was questions about his mentality and his ability after the World Cup but he has answered them. He has been brilliant. There is no hangover from the World Cup and that tells you the type of character that he is.
“Spurs would have no problem selling him for a big fee in the summer. I do not think there is any difference in Kane’s value now and the end of the season.
“Spurs need to throw the kitchen sink at him. They have to do everything to keep him stay. The amount of goals he has scored is incredible. He has broken so many records in a team that has been largely unsuccessful.
“It is about Kane’s desire though. What does he want to achieve before the end of his career?”
