'Everyone in world of football looking at' Rangers man - Paul Robinson Ibrox Exclusive

Paul Robinson has insisted “everyone in the world of football” will be keeping tabs on Steven Gerrard at Rangers.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-England goalkeeper explained how the Ibrox manager will be on the radar of top clubs everywhere following the impact he’s made since taking over.

Gerrard has steered Rangers to the top of the Scottish Premiership table after eight matches as they prepare to go toe to toe with Celtic in the best title race in a decade.

As revealed by Football Insider, Leeds United are among the clubs who are closely monitoring the Liverpool icon.

“I think a lot of clubs will be keeping tabs on him because he’s done so well at Rangers,” Robinson told Football Insider. “Leeds won’t be the only club, I think everyone in the world of football will be looking and at Frank at Chelsea as well.

“They’re young managers who are doing well, who have surrounded themselves with good coaching teams and what Steve has done at Rangers and put them top of the league.

“It’s a tough job up there, I think either people who haven’t played up there or watched football up there don’t understand what a goldfish bowl it is and how intense it is there at Celtic and Rangers .

“For him to go in a job with such scrutiny I think he’s done excellently well.”

Gerrard is in his second season at Rangers after steadying the ship during an encouraging campaign.

His side have won seven of their eight SPL matches this season to lead the table by two points ahead of eight-in-a-row winners Celtic.

In other Rangers news, it can be REVEALED that the club have discussed signing Premier League attacker as multi-million swoop plotted.
