Revealed: Rangers make £30m+ after new deal agreed

Commercial revenue at Rangers is set to climb north of £30million in their upcoming 2022/23 financial accounts, Football Insider understands.

The Scottish giants posted a club-record turnover of £86.8million in 2021/22 after a hugely successful season reaching the Europa League final.

A large part of that figure was the club’s much-improved commercial revenue of £28.4million.

Prior to their 2021/22 accounts, Rangers’ previous record commercial revenue was just £15.2million.

One of the Ibrox club’s major sponsors is kit provider Castore, who signed a five-year deal with Gers running until 2024 worth £25million including performance-related bonuses.

It is understood that Castore pays just over £4million per season as part of that deal, while Rangers also pocket bonuses for winning silverware and qualifying for European competition.

Another significant partner for Rangers is the Kindred Group, who have shared a long-running partnership as the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor.

After years of Red32 appearing on the club’s shirt, sister brand Unibet features on Gers’ kits for the 2023/24 season.

The Scottish club have also signed a deal with Boxt to become the club’s new sleeve sponsor, with the home heating systems and installation company also granted regular advertisement at Ibrox as part of the agreement.

That deal, signed in 2022, is believed to be a significant upgrade on the previous sleeve deal with Tomket Tires.

Overall, Football Insider understands that Rangers are on track to announce commercial revenues that exceed the £30million mark in their 2022/23 accounts.
