Revealed: Arsenal set to blow Tottenham away with £106m+ payout

Arsenal are set to leapfrog Tottenham’s matchday revenue in the 2023/24 season, Football Insider can reveal.

The Gunners are set to overtake their North London rivals in terms of matchday income after qualifying for the 2023/24 Champions League.

Arsenal narrowly missed out on winning the Premier League title last season but secured their return to Europe’s most prestigious tournament for the first time since 2016/17.

The London club reported matchday revenues of £79.4million in their latest 2021/22 financial accounts.

That figure trailed significantly behind Tottenham, who raked in £106.1million in match receipts during the 2021/22 financial period.

However, Arsenal’s matchday income is set to be boosted by the return of European nights at The Emirates next season.

Mikel Arteta’s side are guaranteed to play at least three European home matches at the 60,704-capacity stadium next season, with the potential for further home games if the Gunners reach the competition’s knockout rounds.

In contrast, Tottenham endured an underwhelming campaign and failed to qualify for Europe for the first time since 2009/10 after finishing eighth in the Premier League.

Football Insider analysis expects Arsenal to leapfrog Tottenham’s matchday revenue next season, with the Gunners set to earn north of £100million.

Arsenal last competed in the Champions League in 2016/17, and the club’s matchday revenue that season was recorded at £100million.

In the 2015/16 season, Arsenal recorded their highest-ever matchday revenue of £115million after reaching the round of 16 in the European competition.
