Revealed: West Ham well placed to land £25m jackpot

West Ham can expect to earn around £25million if they win the Europa Conference League, Football Insider can reveal.

The Hammers are set to play their first European final in 47 years next Wednesday (7 June) against Fiorentina in Prague.

Not only is silverware on the line, but the winner of the competition will also qualify for the 2023/24 Europa League.

If West Ham are able to win the competition, they can expect a significant financial boost as a result.

Reaching the Europa Conference League final has already secured the Irons an extra £2.6million in prize money and a win on Wednesday would raise that figure to £4.8million including a small increase in market pool payments.

That would secure Europa League qualification, which would guarantee West Ham £3.2million for simply reaching the group stage.

The London club can also expect their coefficient points to rise substantially if they win the Europa Conference League, with a large portion of points awarded for their perfect record in the group stage.

That will increase their coefficient payments in 2023/24, with Uefa distributing around £60million between the 32 teams in the Europa League based on their position in the 10-year coefficient standings.

This site’s analysis from official Uefa documents expects West Ham to earn a minimum of £20million from a Europa League campaign next season.

Combined with the £5million up for grabs in Wednesday’s final, West Ham are on the verge of securing £25million from their efforts in Europe.

That figure will rise based on performance-related bonuses as well as additional matchday revenue should the Hammers reach the latter stages of the tournament.
