Revealed: Rangers senior figure quits - but most fans won't yet know

Rangers have confirmed the departure of finance director Andrew Dickson but most of their fans will have missed the news, Football Insider can reveal.

The Scottish giants have seen a number of changes at boardroom level in recent months, and Dickson is the latest to depart Ibrox.

A Companies House submission on Monday (22 May) confirmed that Dickson’s employment at the Glasgow club has officially ended.

Dickson had been associated with Rangers for over three decades after first becoming involved with the club’s finances in 1991.

He was appointed to the club’s board in 2015 and became the Director of Finance and Football Administration at Ibrox.

Dickson played a pivotal role in helping Rangers recover financially from their administration in 2012.

Ten years on from the club’s liquidation, Rangers published a record turnover of £86.8million for the financial year ending in June 2022, with Dickson overseeing the club’s accounts during that period.

Dickson joins a number of senior boardroom staff to leave Ibrox in recent months, with the Glasgow club reshuffling staff behind the scenes after falling behind arch-rivals Celtic both on and off the field.

Sporting director Ross Wilson was one of the first major departures at the club when he left to join Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest in a Chief Football Officer role in April.

Managing director Stewart Robertson is also set to leave his post at the end of the current season, with James Bisgrove set to replace him as the club’s new chief operating officer.

Craig Mulholland’s departure has now also been confirmed after Football Insider first reported that the academy director was set to leave the club in April.
