'Absolutely abysmal', 'Disgusting to watch' - Tottenham fans fume over 'terrible' James Maddison replacement v Wolves

Tottenham fans were not impressed with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s “disgusting” display after he returned to the starting line-up in place of the injured James Maddison.

Hojbjerg was the only change to Tottenham’s midfield but two stoppage-time goals from Gary O’Neil’s side handed Spurs a second consecutive defeat in dramatic fashion in the 2-1 loss at Molineux.

Ange Postecoglou had to contend with numerous injuries and suspensions after the chaotic defeat to Chelsea on Monday (6 November) which afforded the Dane just his second league start of the season.

As revealed by Football Insider (10 November), his Tottenham future is in doubt ahead of the January transfer window after being used sparingly this season.

Spurs fans have taken to social media to react to Hojbjerg’s performance – and they’re not happy.
