Jack Harrison 'won't be welcome' at Leeds United amid 'huge' claim

Players like Jack Harrison won’t be welcome back at Leeds United in the summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former West Ham striker Frank McAvennie suggested that any player who has left Leeds on loan following their relegation to the Championship should not be allowed back at the club.

Back in July, Football Insider revealed that there were a host of stars with relegation clauses in their contracts that meant they were eligible to be sent on loan after the Whites dropped down to the Championship.

The likes of Harrison, Robin Koch, Luis Sinisterra, Marc Roca and Brenden Aaronson, among many others, left the club on loan during the summer window.

Harrison joined Premier League strugglers Everton on a temporary contract until the end of the current campaign and has made two appearances for the first team after struggling with a hip injury.

When asked if Leeds will be happy to bring back players like Harrison next summer, McAvennie told Football Insider:I would not want them back because they have not got the club at heart. So, stay away.

When I went to West Ham I knew they were getting relegated but I stayed and helped them get back up.

That was not a problem for me to go down to the Championship because I was playing with the club that I loved and I wanted to play with them.

You are not going to tell me Leeds United shouldn’t have the pick of the bunch, they are a huge club that go way back to before I was born.
