'He tears into people' - Pundit worried about Arsenal star Kieran Tierney after 'horrible' news

Kieran Tierney is facing a “horrible” reality at Arsenal if his latest injury is not completely resolved.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Celtic and West Ham striker Frank McAvennie is worried that Tierney could be in line for another long-term, recurring injury.

The 26-year-old, currently on loan at Real Sociedad and was forced off against Athletic Bilbao at the weekend with an apparent hamstring issue.

Sociedad boss Imanol Alguacil revealed (3 October) that the left-back has suffered a “major” hamstring tear and refused to put a timeline on his return to action.

Tierney has been left out of Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad ahead of their crucial game against Spain next week as well as the friendly against France.

The former Celtic man has struggled with injury problems throughout his career but went out on loan this season in search of more regular game time.

When asked if there is a worry Tierney is not fit enough to play football regularly at the top level.

I would hate to think that with Kieran,” he told Football Insider.

I do not think it is anything to do with his other injury. The problem is that he dives in to everything, he cannot just play a training game without giving 100 per cent and that is his biggest problem. He just tears in to people.

He will just have to be careful and after a month or so I assume he will be back training.

He has been injured that much that he will be used to it but I hope that it is not a recurring injury because that would be horrible for him.
