Get rid - Exclusive: Legend tells West Ham to bin 27-yr-old who 'looks like he's on a Catwalk'

Frank McAvennie has urged West Ham to sell Felipe Anderson this summer and claimed he would not play the Brazilian again this season.

The Hammers legend, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, said the 27-year-old “looks like he is on a cat walk rather than a football field” in a scathing review of the attacker.

The winger replaced Mark Noble with 20 minutes to play against Spurs on Tuesday night but failed to help David Moyes’s side back into the game with the final score 2-0.

Football Insider revealed in April that the Hammers stand to make a £20million loss on the former Lazio player if they sell him this summer.

Anderson is the Hammers second most expensive signing of all-time and despite flashes of brilliance the £34million man has failed to justify his price tag according to McAvennie.

“I think they have got to sell him,” he told Football Insider.

“He looks like he is on a catwalk rather than a football field. He it just strolling about.

“I have never seen him go into a tackle, never mind win one. Yeah he is a talent but he pulls out of challenges too often. It is obvious.

“I would not play Anderson again. You need somebody that is going to go and win tackles. Someone who will show a bit of aggression.

“If you look at the top two teams, Liverpool and Manchester City, the have so much aggression. When they lose the ball they win it back.”

Anderson‘s 24 appearances this season have only yielded one goal and four assists.

He has two years left on his current contract having signed a four-year deal when he arrived in 2018.

In other West Ham news, it can be REVEALED that club are prepared to make a loss on £18million signing.
