Todd Cantwell axed, Sam Lammers starts in 4-2-3-1: Rangers predicted XI v Livingston

Rangers will look for their fifth consecutive victory in all competitions when they travel to Almondvale to face Livingston on Sunday (12 November).

Ahead of their return to league action after big wins in the cup semi-final against Hearts and in Europe against Sparta Prague, Football Insider has predicted Philippe Clement’s starting line-up take on the Lions.

Defence

Jack Butland will almost certainly keep his spot in between the sticks behind a potentially unchanged centre-back partnership of Connor Goldson and Ben Davies.

Borna Barisic could be dropped in favour of Ridvan Yilmaz who has started all of Clement’s league games.

Captain James Tavernier, following his final-clinching brace against Hearts, will most likely lead his side out on Sunday afternoon.

Midfield

Ryan Jack has emerged as a favourite for the new manager after starting the last three games in all competitions and bagging a goal against Dundee.

He scored earlier this season in the cup against the Lions and may once again get the nod in midfield next to John Lundstram.

Attack

In attack, Clement may take a gamble.

Scott Wright didn’t make the squad for the Prague victory after picking up a small knock in the cup semi-final, but his excellence against Hearts could see him return to the XI over Todd Cantwell.

The Englishman was hauled off at halftime in the 3-1 win and having played 69 minutes against Prague meaning the boss may opt to rest him.

Danilo, Abdallah Sima and Sam Lammers are strong possibilities to keep their spots in the line-up.
