Man United fans have reacted to the “huge” news of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s imminent takeover of 25 per cent of the club.

The billionaire Ineos owner is set to buy a minority stake in the club, which is BBC Sport report is expected to be completed during the upcoming international break.

While many United fans will be disappointed that the Glazers will keep some influence at Old Trafford, Ratcliffe is set to take control of football operations, including transfers and managerial appointments.

This fan was encouraged by the “local businessman” with experience of running football clubs and was baffled that so many fans were against the deal.

This fan is eager to see Ratcliffe’s plans come to fruition as it will make Man United more stable.

One fan claimed Ratcliffe will build “something special” at Old Trafford.

This can’t “can’t wait” for Ratcliffe’s influence and is convinved the club be world class soon enough.

This supporter is very excited for the Ratcliffe era at United and the “clean slate” he offers.
