Fans of Liverpool and other clubs alike have reacted to Darwin Nunez’s post-match handshake snub after the Reds’ 3-2 loss to Toulouse on Thursday night (9 November).

Jurgen Klopp’s side suffered a surprise loss to the 14th-place Ligue 1 side with an own goal and a Diogo Jota strike not enough to overcome the deficit.

The Reds nearly snatched a point at the death, but a handball from Alexis Mac Allister in the build-up to Jarell Quansah’s seeming equaliser saw the goal struck off in the 99th minute.

Toulouse secured a well-earned win through goals from Aron Donnum, Thijs Dallinga and Frank Magri, but the final goalscorer had his own controversy after the whistle.

Nunez seemingly refused to shake the number 19’s hand after the game, leading fans to take to social media and react to the “salty” moment.

This Liverpool fan questioned his fanbase as to why they were celebrating Nunez’s snub and claimed he is “not the guy”.

This fan mocked the Reds for being “spoiled brats” – but claimed their manager was even worse.

This Reds supporter found the funny side of Nunez’s reaction and was amused by the Uruguayan’s smirk.
