'The Premier League is finished' - Man United fans stunned by VAR drama in win over Fulham

Man United fans have been left stunned by the outcome of yet another VAR controversy in their 1-0 win against Fulham on Saturday (4 November).

The Red Devils had a goal chalked off in the first half after VAR deemed Harry Maguire marginally offside from a free kick in the 11th minute.

The former United captain did not touch the ball but the officials judged that he was interfering with play before Scott McTominay slotted away what would have been his fourth goal of the season.

Remarkably, it took four minutes for the VAR review to be completed and Erik ten Hag’s raging reaction on the touchline made clear how he felt about it.

United slogged out an inconsistent performance at Craven Cottage, but Bruno Fernandes clinched all three points with a stoppage-time strike from just inside the box to break the hearts of the home crowd.

United fans are once again frustrated by VAR and are convinced their club have often been on the wrong end of decisions in the Premier League this season.

This fan mocked anyone who thought the referee’s decision was correct.

Some supporters felt confident that the decision showed that there was an agenda against Man United.

This fan claimed the poor use of VAR has ruined supporters’ passion for the game.

One supporter highlighted the inconsistent use of VAR and pointed to a similar incident that happened to rivals Man City.

Another fan claimed the Premier League is “finished” due to VAR.

Another supporter noted how United are often on the unwanted end of the VAR decision and took the incident personally.

In other news, Man United are set to develop a multi-club model under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and sign the world’s best young talent.
