'Worst signing ever', 'Why would Sancho apologise?' - Man United fans enraged at Antony display in 1-0 win against Fulham

Man United fans are outraged by Antony’s poor performance against Fulham on Saturday afternoon (4 November).

The Brazilian was hauled off by under-pressure boss Erik ten Hag in the 63rd minute after making very little impact in the 1-0 win at Craven Cottage.

Per SofaScore, the 23-year-old failed to have a single shot on target, had just one successful dribble and lost possession 10 times.

The £86million winger has failed to live up to his price tag after moving to Old Trafford last summer as ten Hag’s marquee signing, managing just eight goals in 55 appearances.

The Red Devils claimed all three points thanks to a late Bruno Fernandes strike in the 91st minute, but Antony’s performance drew a lot of criticism from fans on social media.

One fan claimed he is the out-and-out worst signing in the sport’s history.

Another dubbed him a “waste of space” and was pleased to see him taken off the field.

One fan joked that Antony wasn’t even a football player, so can’t be judged as such.

Another supporter brought Christian Eriksen in on the criticism, claiming the pair had a day to forget in West London.

One supporter was so unimpressed by Antony that he never wants to see him in a Man United shirt again.

This fan claimed Antony has “none” of the desirable attributes of a winger – after wishing him well.

This supporter pointed to the ongoing situation with outcast Jadon Sancho, suggesting the Englishman shouldn’t have to apologise to ten Hag when Antony is still getting game time.

One fan simply hopes Antony will never start for the club again.

In other news, Man United are set to develop a multi-club model under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and sign the world’s best young talent.
