'Are they trying to get him sacked?', 'His days are numbered' - Man United fans react to Sky's Ten Hag update

Man United fans are fuming with the club’s players after it was reported that Erik ten Hag has lost up to half the dressing room.

Sky Sports claimed that up to half of the squad are unhappy with the style of play, feel they’re training too hard at Carrington, were unconvinced with the boss’ man management and were unimpressed with Jadon Sancho’s removal from the side.

Despite a recent string of good results, the Red Devils are seventh place in the Premier League after their 1-0 loss to Newcastle on Saturday (2 December), while their Champions League hopes look thin.

Ten Hag has been under fire this season after a lacklustre start, and Football Insider revealed last month (3 November) that Sir Jim Ratcliffe plans to sack him and replace him with Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi.

Fans have blamed the “useless” Man United squad for the problems and Old Trafford and have taken to social media to berate them.

This supporter questioned if the players were purposefully trying to get the Dutchman dismissed.

One fan mocked the players and claimed that had things on their minds other than football.

This supporter has never hated a Man United squad as much as the current one.

One fan would not back any of the players to survive at Man City.

One supporter urged the manager to get rid of the “lazy” players and would rather see the youngsters get a runout.

This supporter is at breaking point with the club.

One fan pointed to the club’s history of players souring on the managers in their post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.

This supporter wants any player who doesn’t back ten Hag to “come forth and leave”.
