Sources: Ben White set to land big Arsenal pay hike as new deal close

Arsenal are offering Ben White a big pay hike as they look to tie him down to a new and improved contract at the club, sources have told Football Insider.

The £50million star is set to join the bracket of top earners at the Emirates Stadium two years after signing from Brighton.

Talks over a new deal are progressing well and are expected to result in a full agreement in the next months.

Arsenal have recently tied down a host of first-team stars – including Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and William Saliba.

White’s current contract, which nets him a reported current wage of £120,000-a-week, is set to expire in June 2026.

He originally joined the club as a centre-back but shone in a right-back role for Arteta’s side as they pushed Man City close for the title last season.

He has started every Premier League game amid 16 total appearances across all competitions, which have produced one goal.

The ex-Leeds loanee has recorded a century of appearances for Arsenal, bringing up the landmark against Newcastle on Saturday (4 November).

White, 26, last played for England in March 2022 despite his dazzling form for the Gunners in the Premier League.

He was in the squad for last year’s World Cup but returned home from Qatar for personal reasons.

The Southampton and Brighton youth product has made four appearances for the Three Lions.
