Leeds told to reject Crysencio Summerville offer - 'I wouldn't even entertain it', says pundit

Leeds United should not even entertain January offers for Crysencio Summerville.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton claims that the Whites should not sell one of their most prolific players if they want to get promoted back to the Premier League.

The 22-year-old has six goals and four assists in the Championship this season, including game-winning braces against Norwich City and Huddersfield Town.

The Whites sit third in the table on 28 points but remain six points outside the automatic spots with second-place Ipswich having two games in hand.

Hutton claims Leeds “have to” get promoted this season and Summerville’s excellence will be key in achieving this.

“No price, I don’t think they should sell him,” he told Football Insider.

“It’s as simple as that. We’re talking about a situation where Leeds have to get up the first time of asking.

“They’ve already lost a lot of players, first-team players, so why would you take somebody who’s really fighting for you and trying to get you back to the Premier League, why would you get rid of him?

“I jest when I say there’s no price – obviously there is a price where Leeds will see it as satisfactory.

“But if you’re looking to get back to where you want to be, you don’t sell. You have to keep him and keep him fit to get there.

“At this moment in time, I wouldn’t even entertain it.”
