Man United fans 'ready to hear news of a full takeover' & 'be the next Newcastle'

The only way Man United and their fans will be happy is if the Glazer family sell Man United.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton insisted United supporters have been unhappy for a long time and a minority investment from Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani offered to buy the club from the Glazers and bid £5billion to take full control of the club but eventually pulled out of the process after learning that his offer did not meet the valuation of the club.

Instead, the Glazers are set to accept an offer from Ratcliffe to buy a 25 per cent stake in the club that would see his company INEOS take over most of the footballing operations at the club.

But Hutton insisted a small change is not enough for the fans.

This has not just been going on for the last year,” he told Football Insider.

This has been going on for a long period of time and the fans have been unhappy.

You start to read about the problems in the stadium and see that it is not just the team on the pitch, it is everything else. It just seems like they want a clean break from the Glazers.

They do not want to hear about Ratcliffe buying 25 per cent, they are ready to hear news of a full takeover, somebody that is going to invest in the club and just have a clean break the way Newcastle did. They want to be the next Newcastle.

I think the fans will always be unhappy until they get that.
