Tottenham expert issues 'huge' Harvey White verdict after what he's heard
Tottenham sensation Harvey White is in the perfect place to continue his development after already making an impact at loan club Derby.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
White, 21, joined Derby County on loan on deadline day.
The midfielder made his Rams debut off the bench in last Saturday’s (4 February) 5-0 win over Morecambe.
Wenham was left delighted after hearing some rave reviews about White’s debut.
“I’m delighted that Harvey came straight in and managed to get off the bench,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He needs minutes, I have been banging on about this for ages so to see him play just a few days after signing is really promising.
“I saw and heard a lot of Derby fans who were impressed with him as well. There were a lot of tweets so it seems like he has already endeared himself to the fans.
“It’s ideal really, I just hope he impressed enough to earn a start in his next game because he needs to be starting games.
“Derby seem to be in a great run of form at the moment so Harvey is playing in an in-form team where there is bound to be a good atmosphere, that huge for his development..
“Hopefully he can stay fit and really assert himself in that side.”
White’s only other loan came at Portsmouth during the 2020-21 season as he made 21 league appearances and scored once, while also playing a part in Pompey’s runners-up finish in the EFL Trophy.
Derby are next in action against Wycombe on Saturday (11 February).
