Tottenham expert issues 'very exciting' Jude Soonsup-Bell claim after deal done

Tottenham fans should be excited about the signing of youth player Jude Soonsup-Bell.

That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Tottenham confirmed Soonsup-Bell had joined the club’s development squad on deadline day (31 January).

The highly-rated striker left Cobham after seven years in Chelsea’s academy.

Wenham claims Soonaup-Bell is one of the best academy strikers in the country.

“I know a bit more about this guy than most,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“I have seen him come and play at Hotspur Way as part of Chelsea’s academy a few times. I would go as far as to say he is the most highly-rated academy forward in England, very exciting.

“He had a season where he scored something like 18 goals in 15 games. I think Chelsea picked him up from Swindon and he is very highly regarded.

“He’s actually gone off the boil a bit this season and I think it might be a case of the player needing a change of scenery

“I’m hopeful that he has been promised he will be starting for the Under-21s until the end of the season and then after that, he needs to go out on a season-long loan.

“He has a deal until 2025 and for me, it is a no-risk signing.”

Soonsup-Bell has represented England at various youth levels.

He has so far made two appearances for the Three Lions’ Under-19 side.

In other news, a pundit has claimed Tottenham are ‘laying the groundwork’ for Hugo Lloris upgrade as £44m deal is agreed.
