Tottenham expert shreds Antonio Conte after 'disastrous development'
Antonio Conte must take the blame for the run of poor results Tottenham have experienced this season.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Tottenham fell to their first home defeat to Arsenal in nine years on Sunday (15 January).
It means Spurs have only won 10 of their 19 league games this season.
Wenham insists Conte must take the blame for he club’s poor form, especially at home.
“Arsenal have now won at our stadium,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We have lost four of our last five home league games this season. This is not why we built the stadium. Villa have won here a couple of times now.
“Wolves and Southampton last season. White Hart Lane used to be a fortress, especially that last season under Poch.
“Against the big six and Newcastle this season we had a 2-2 at Chelsea with a last-minute equaliser and our manager tried to rewrite history and say it was a credited well-deserved draw despite us being played off the park.
“We lost at home to Liverpool, lost away at Man United, lost against Arsenal twice, lost to Newcastle at home. Something has to give.
“Liverpool haven’t beaten anyone away but they beat us. It’s a disastrous development. We haven’t been good this season, it’s clear. Is Conte doing enough?
“He does this whole thing that says he is doing us a favour by managing us but is he doing enough?
“I think questions need to be asked.”
