Pundit shares '100%' verdict on Wilfried Zaha signing for Tottenham as new offer tabled

Kevin Campbell has claimed a Tottenham move for Wilfried Zaha is “unrealistic” unless Antonio Conte guarantees him a starting berth.

The former Arsenal striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, claimed the 30-year-old “100% deserves” to be a key man for a top club.

According to the London Evening Standard (2 November), Zaha has stalled on a “verbal offer” made by Crystal Palace – raising fears of a potential departure in 2023.

The Ivory Coast international, who has already contributed a combined eight goals and assists this term, is currently out of contract at the end of this season.

According to The Athletic (2 September), Tottenham explored a last-gasp move to bring Zaha to the club during the summer window.

The winger endured an ill-fated spell at giants Man United between 2014 and 2015 – making just one appearance.

Campbell suggested Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski are the most likely to make way should Spurs bring Zaha back to the top echelons of the Premier League.

He told Football Insider’s Ewan Kingsbury: “There’s going to be a lot of clubs looking at Zaha.

“But again, it’s a question of finding a way for him to fit into that Spurs side.

“He’s an absolute handful, and someone of that quality 100% deserves to start games at a top club.

“Harry Kane is a definite starter, Son is a definite starter. Then you’ve got Richarlison who you signed for big money, you’ve also got Kulusevski.

“I think that speculation is unrealistic unless Conte can guarantee Zaha he will start most games.”
