'I'm still salivating', 'Mended my heart' - Leeds fans rave over 'delicious' Sam Byram moment in 3-1 Swansea win

Leeds United fans were blown away by Sam Byram’s “delicious” goal-earning tackle in their 3-1 victory over Swansea City on Wednesday (29 November).

Daniel Farke’s side bounced back from their disappointing draw against Rotherham last week (24 November) with a comfortable win courtesy of goals from Joel Piroe, Georginio Rutter and Daniel James.

James put the final nail in the coffin after the Swans took the lead inside the opening minute, but the Welshman owed much of his fifth goal of the season to Byram, whose crunching tackle on Oliver Cooper set up the chance.

The tackle flew into the path of an unmarked Rutter who slotted the ball to James whose clinical finish left Carl Rushworth little chance to save it in the Swansea net.

With the Whites back to winning ways, fans have taken to social media to hail the Bryam’s “tremendous” game-changing moment.

This supporter was gobsmacked by the strength of his tackle.

One fan felt the 30-year-old was owed a goal for himself after his challenge.

Some fans were simply in awe of his effort.

This fan felt the challenge harkened back to to the good old days of football when tackles had a little more bite to them.
