Harry Kane: Bayern Munich submitting near-£100m bid for Tottenham star - sources

Bayern Munich are preparing to submit a third bid for Tottenham star Harry Kane worth nearly £100million, sources have told Football Insider.

The German giants are preparing an offer close to what is seen as the Spurs asking price with chairman Daniel Levy under increasing pressure to sell.

Bayern have already had two bids rejected for the 29-year-old, the second believed to be worth around £70m plus add-ons.

The Bundesliga champions have not been put off by Spurs’ supposed unwillingness to sell.

Levy is believed to be holding out for £100m to let go of the club’s prized asset.

Football Insider revealed on Saturday (22 July) that Bayern are confident of reaching an agreement with the Londoners over the transfer of Kane and believe a deal could be finalised early next month.

Bayern are in regular contact with Kane’s camp and believe they have a firm verbal agreement with the player.

Spurs have offered their star striker a new contract which would not only improve his current £200,000-per-week wages but also make him one of the Premier League’s top earners.

But sources say that Kane does not plan to put pen to paper on a new deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, regardless of what happens in this transfer window, and is keen to join Thomas Tuchel’s side.

The England international’s current deal runs until 2024 and Spurs could lose the goalscorer for free next summer unless they can cash in in the coming months.
