Harry Kane has had head turned after BBC's Tottenham update - expert

Real Madrid could convince Harry Kane to leave Tottenham this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Spurs defender Alan Hutton suggested Real Madrid are the one club that could tempt Kane away from staying in the Premier League.

According to BBC Sport (5 June), Real Madrid are keen on the 29-year-old as a replacement for Karim Benzema who has left the club after 14 years for a move to Saudi Arabia.

Kane has a year left on his contract at Spurs but is undecided on his future with Daniel Levy keen to keep him at the London club.

The 29-year-old is also closing in on Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record and is just 47 goals behind his 260 tally.

When asked if Kane could be tempted by a move to Madrid, Hutton told Football Insider:It is probably the one team that could maybe turn his head from beating the record.

Alan Shearer’s scoring record is probably something that he has looked at for a long period of time, he is not far off it.

Say he goes to Real Madrid and plays there for three or four years, he is not going to come back to England and score the goals needed. It is a really tough one.

On one hand you go down in the Premier League as a legend or you go to Real Madrid, one of the most iconic teams in football.

He is obviously going to win trophies there so it is a real tough one. How do you decide? Me personally I would want to go and try Real Madrid. You just go down in history as playing for one of the most iconic teams.
