Sources: West Ham will accept 'big' Said Benrahma offer after Saudi twist

West Ham could consider parting with reported Saudi Pro League target Said Benrahma in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The 28-year-old has started just four of the Irons’ 13 Premier League games this season and is believed to want more first-team football.

Benrahma fits the profile of signing the mega-rich Saudi regime are looking to make and could be on the radar of several top-league clubs in the new year.

A move to the Middle East would come as a surprise given his impact in the 2023-24 campaign as Moyes’ side won the Europa Conference League.

But a well-placed source has told Football Insider that West Ham will consider cashing in on the Algeria international if a “big” offer arrives in January.

The ex-Brentford star has been a steady performer for the Irons since joining on an initial loan in 2020 but is yet to become a mainstay in the first-choice eleven under David Moyes.

He has made 16 appearances across all competitions totalling 873 minutes of action, but has managed just one assist.

Last term, Benrahma notched 12 goals and five assists in 52 games as West Ham won the Europa Conference League.

But the signing of Mohammed Kudus has limited his involvement this season, meaning he is again just a squad player for Moyes.

Benrahma and Kudus, established internationals for Algeria and Ghana respectively, will both jet off to the Ivory Coast for the Africa Cup of Nations in the new year.

The duo could miss up to five games should they reach the final of the competition.

Benrahma cost a reported total fee of £30million when he joined West Ham from Brentford permanently in January 2021.

The winger, who is under contract until June 2026, has managed 24 goals and 19 assists in 149 total games for the Irons.
