Pundit can't believe Moyes is 'bored' at West Ham - 'it won't be pretty'
West Ham United are in a “really good place” despite supporters’ frustrations about David Moyes’ style of play.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Leeds and England goalkeeper Paul Robinson admitted he understood the fanbase’s criticism but claimed results take priority.
The Hammers sit ninth in the Premier League after their 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest before the international break and are top of Group A in the Europa League.
The Scotsman confessed to being “bored” by his side’s display in the first half of the Forest showdown amid fans’ desire for a more exciting brand of play.
But Robinson feels the Hammers’ steady progression has been “excellent”.
“You can understand their frustrations because of the quality attacking player there,” he told Football Insider.
“The plethora of quality is there to see. Whether they have a replacement for Michail Antonio, whether they play Mohammed Kudus, or Jarrod Bowen down the middle – they’ve got options.
“For David to say that [after the Forest win] was quite interesting, but it was a 3-2 game and another win.
“They have continually good form in European competitions. It was always going to be a big ask of West Ham to continue from last year without Declan Rice.
“The signings and how they’ve progressed in the Premier League has been excellent.
“Fans will always want an attacking style of football but results are the important thing.
“Sometimes it won’t be pretty, but West Ham as a club and as a team are doing well.
“They’re in a really good place.”
