Sources: Liverpool in new Gravenberch swoop - Klopp is 'huge fan'

Liverpool have turned their attention back to signing Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch after losing out on multiple targets during the window, sources have told Football Insider.

The Anfield side have suffered multiple blows in the window after losing out on the likes of Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo to Chelsea.

Gravenberch has been on the club’s list of targets since the start of the window but there has been no guarantee he would leave Bayern this summer.

If the German side could guarantee the 21-year-old playing time this season it was understood he would choose to stay at the Bundesliga giants.

However he has still struggled to become one of Thomas Tuchels “go-to” men and the likelihood of him leaving before the window closes is increasing.

Jurgen Klopp is a “huge fan” of the Holland International midfielder, sources say, and has stated the player could be “one of the best” in his position in the future.

There has been a major overhaul of the midfield with the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister coming in to replace numerous players who have left the club this summer.

There is huge pressure in the recruitment team and stress levels are high as the Merseysiders clamour to try and replace Jordan Henderson and Fabinho before the window slams shut.

Ryan Gravenberch has managed 33 appearances since his £30 million move from Ajax last summer. He has scored once and grabbed a single assist in that time.
