Jadon Sancho: Man United ready to accept 'big' offer - sources
Man United are hoping to land a big transfer fee for outcast Jadon Sancho in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that an exit for the winger, either permanent or on loan, is now almost a certainty in the new year.
It is believed Man United are hoping to boost their budget for the winter window by landing a sizeable fee for the England international – as well as clearing his £250,000-a-week wage from the books.
Sancho has been widely linked with a possible move to Serie A giants Juventus and Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, as well as a switch to the Saudi Pro League.
His first-team exile continues following his high-profile spat with manager Erik ten Hag in September.
The duo clashed in a disagreement over the winger’s training levels – with the England international hitting back at his manager on social media after Ten Hag publicly criticised his work rate.
Football Insider revealed last month (9 October) that Sancho remains in limbo at Man United as he is yet make an apology to the Dutchman.
The England international is now heading towards the exit door in the January window – two and a half years after joining the Old Trafford club.
Sancho has made three appearances in the 2023-24 campaign but is now training away from the first-team squad following the row with Ten Hag.
He cost a reported £73million when he joined Man United from Dortmund in July 2021 – but is yet to demonstrate value for money.
The winger has contributed just 12 goals and six assists in 82 games since his arrival.
Man United are struggling for form in the 2023-24 campaign and sit sixth in the Premier League table.
The Red Devils are bottom of their Champions League group and are on the verge of being dumped out of the competition.
